The destinations we travel to with all our time and money…must open out their ‘stories’ to us ! They are not mere sights ! They are caged in time immemorial – sights , with sounds, with tastes, with touches and hidden canvases of past and future! They may open doors to your own inner soul and the way you are doing life ! Sounds poetic ? 😉
Spend your times in those narrow walls away from the picture frames of your destinations!
Walk down a few steps away to soak the life and ‘living’ of the natives and the people. Befriend them over their hand brewed tea/coffee or their local beverage.
Taste the food the locals have .
Listen to their past, their present …let these stories intrigue you…..open up a world to your eyes which text books and education doesn’t capture .
Feel happy, when the natives eagerly come up to you with their warmth and share their closely guarded ‘secrets’ .
Share your life ..they are strangers ….little school children……young mothers ……..working locals…………who could open the door to our realisation how the world is a mere village .
Like famously in India the Sanskrit saying goes ” Vasudeva Kutumbakkam“ !
I have had many of these experiences , which are the spices to my travelogue , the heart of my travel !!
